Direct Air Capture and Pipeline Transport
This document is a compilation of all the components of the Absolute Carbon Standard (ACS) that are related to Direct Air Capture (DAC) and Pipeline Transport, Geologic Storage in Saline Aquifer, and the additional modules needed to create project specificity. ACS is designed to provide a universal accounting approach and quality assurance requirements to all emissions mitigation projects, across all pathways and technical implementations. Pathway-specific details around scientific implementation, monitoring criteria, and reporting are built into ACS Modules (shown as green tables) that plug into the universal criteria designated by ACS (shown as blue tables).
For simplicity, this document combines the modules and components of ACS that are related to Direct Air Capture and Pipeline Transport, Storage in Saline Aquifer, and Energy Accounting. It is designed to demonstrate all elements of the ACS approach clearly and facilitate review.
